GRAY — Adam Healy threw a complete game scattering five hits and did not allow a run after the first inning as Gray-New Gloucester secured a 4-2 victory over Fryeburg in baseball action Monday.

Brady Lloyd put the Raiders out front with a two-run home run in the first inning. But, Healy shut down Fryeburg’s scoring from that point on.

Ryan Cavallaro paced the Patriots (7-6) with two hits, and RBI and a run scored. Aaron Boulos and Jordan Rice each added two hits and a run scored for the Patriots.

Edward Little 6, Mt. Ararat 2

TOPSHAM — Josh Delong and Corey Moholland had two hits each to lead Edward Little to a 6-2 victory over Morse in a KVAC baseball game Monday.

A three-run third inning proved to be the difference for the Red Eddies (7-4). Winning pitcher James Jackson ripped a two-run single, while Moholland followed with an RBI single in the pivotal inning.

Cam Bradbury added a double for EL. Torrey Charnock hit a double for Mt. Ararat (4-7).

Lewiston 11, Morse 1

LEWISTON — Senior second baseman and pinch hitter Tucker Beaudoin knocked home the game-winning run on a fielder’s choice as Lewiston collected an 11-1 victory over Morse in KVAC baseball.

The Blue Devils (11-1) scored in each of the first five innings, accumulating 13 hits along the way.

Corbin Hyde had three hits, including a double, while Scott Ouellette added two hits, including a triple.

In the top of the first inning, C.J. Hardin had one of the Shipbuilder’s (2-9) two hits. He stole second, reached third on a fielder’s choice, and put Morse up 1-0 on a successful double steal.

Cony 11, Oxford Hills 9

SOUTH PARIS — Senior center fielder Luke Dunklee knotted up the contest in the top of the seventh to send the game into overtime as Cony went on to notch an 11-9 victory over Oxford Hills in KVAC baseball action Monday.

The Vikings (5-7) struck for five runs in the home half of the first inning to take a 5-2 lead. But, the Rams (6-6) kept bumping back for runs in the second, fifth and seventh innings to stay alive and grab an eighth-inning win.

Jordan Croteau had three hits for Oxford Hills, including a double and a triple.

Nick Lucas tagged three singles and three RBIs for Cony, while Corey Lapierre almost went the cycle with a single, double and triple in the winning effort.

Mt. Blue 8, Hampden 4

FARMINGTON — Dylan Vining ripped a key two-run double and pitched three scoreless innings as Mt. Blue got by Hampden for an 8-4 victory.

Hampden scored single runs in each for the first four innings to build a 4-1 lead. Mt. Blue answered with five runs in the bottom half of the fourth, highlighted by Vining’s double and Blake Hart’s two-run single to grab a 6-4 lead.

Vining replaced Jimmy Neal in the fifth to finish out the game, allowing no hits while striking out six to earn the save for the Cougars (8-3).

Neal and Bradley Jackson each had a single and a double in the victory. Andrew Closson paced the Broncos (6-7) with a pair of hits including a double.

Monmouth 18, Boothbay 2

KENTS HILL — The Mustangs pounded out 13 hits on their way to an 18-2 drudging of Boothbay in Monday baseball action.

With the game played at Kents Hill School due to poor field conditions at either school, Monmouth (9-3) took advantage of the fast turf field, running out a double, a triple, and a pair of home runs in the victory.

Kyle Fournier legged a two-run homer in the first as Monmouth scored four times and never looked back. Roger Bachelder had three hits, including a triple, while Kyle Fletcher also smacked a home run and added a single.

Blake Burnham grabbed the victory on the mound followed by Fournier and Brandon Goff in relief to hold the Seahawks (0-10) to just four hits. Jim Greenleaf stroked a pair of singles in the loss.

Dirigo 6, Jay 0

DIRIGO — Ben Holmes fired a complete-game shutout to help lead Dirigo to a 6-0 triumph over Jay in MVC baseball action.

The junior righty fanned 10 Jay batters, allowing just two hits.

Dirigo got on the board in the third inning on an RBI single by Erik Fenster-

macher.

The Cougars (12-0) scored a couple more in the fourth on Chad Snowman’s RBI double and Spencer Ross’ run scoring single. Jake Dowland paced Dirigo with a single and a double, while T.J. Frost ripped a pair of singles.

Yarmouth 8, Poland 4

POLAND — Yarmouth crossed the plate three times in the top of the fourth to distance a one run game on their way to an 8-4 victory over Poland.

Luke Pierce ripped a key triple and knocked in a pair to lead the Clippers (11-2). Chris Lawler kept the Knights (2-11) in check earning the win scattering six hits allowing one earned run while striking out six.

Devin Goyette and Dillon Douglass each had a pair of hits for Poland. Douglass rapped a double while Goyette drove in three runs.

Rangeley 6, Buckfield 5

BUCKFIELD — Jordan Richard scattered five hits giving up one earned run to lead Rangeley to a 6-5 win over Buckfield.

Richard fanned nine Buckfield batters while ripping a double at the plate.

Cody White took the loss giving up just two earned runs while also striking out nine. White led the Bucks (4-3) with a pair of hits including a double. Carl Searles smashed a double for Rangeley (5-5) in the victory.
