FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District is has announced that there are still some fruit trees, lilacs and perennials left from the 2011 Shrub Sale. Prices have been slashed to just over cost. There are Freedom, Royal Empire, Cortland, MacIntosh and Macoun apple trees as well as Flemish Beauty pears plus Shiro and Santa Rosa plum trees. Several lilac varieties include those with pink, white, blue or purple blossoms.

The lilacs and perennials can be purchased and picked up at the district office Monday through Friday from 9 to 4. Arrangements for pick-up of fruit trees can be made during those times as well.

LIVERMORE FALLS — Sonny and Friends will perform old time music from 1 to 6 p.m. every Sunday starting May 29 at the gazebo.

Pie sale

NEW SHARON — A pie sale will be held Sunday, May 29, from 11:30 a.m. until sold out at the new Masonic Lodge on Route 2. Whole pies are $10 or you can purchase a slice. Eat in or take out. The sale will benefit the Order of the Eastern Star.

Chicken bbq

NEW SHARON — A chicken barbecue will be held Sunday, May 29, from 11:30 a.m. until sold out at the new Masonic Lodge on Route 2. The cost is $8 per person and will benefit the building fund.
