AUBURN — Timothy Paul Webster “Tim,” 53, of Auburn, died Wednesday, May 25, at the Auburn Hospice Home, with family and friends at his side.

He was born Feb. 8, 1958, in Portland. He lived in Scarborough 25 years before moving to Auburn.

An avid sports lover, Tim played baseball, basketball and soccer through his school days in Scarborough and his love of sports took him to a pool “team” state championship as well as a pool “singles” state championship. Always an outdoorsman, Tim could often be found on a golf course and could never get enough hunting and fishing during the summer and autumn months. He often went to Copeland Plantation hunting at his favorite spot and fished for hours on Sebouous Lake and Lake Auburn with friends.

Tim is survived by his parents, Paul and Freda Webster of Bangor; his sister and brother-in-law, Paula (Webster) and Joe Benoit; his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Webster) and Kevin Bengtson of Aurelia, Iowa; his two granddaughters, Liberty and Brylee Bengtson; two nieces, Bethany Benoit Turek and Betsy Benoit Varian; nephew, Benjamin Benoit; many great-nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins; and his fiancee, Lisa Shorette of Auburn.
