My reason to relay is the many faces of family and friends who I see everyday and also the memories of all those we have lost to this terrible disease.

Thanks to the American Cancer Society, more and more of our family members and friends are able to celebrate birthdays this year. What a wonderful gift!

Researchers don’t have all the answers, but they have made incredible strides in the past 14 years. Money raised by Relay goes to fund research, patient services, prevention and detection. I have seen firsthand how research has helped several community members and I will always be eternally grateful for the hard work our Relay committee, teams, and team members have done to raise  money  to fund research  and help them fight their battle and have the chance to celebrate not just their birthday, but each and every day.

Each team is unique in their efforts, but every team and team member are connected by a common thread … finding a cure for cancer! Every step we take makes a difference to someone who is battling this disease. Thank you for all your help in making River Valley Relay a successful event. I am so proud to call you all my Relay family. God bless you all.
