AUBURN — Tiffany Seams went 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored to pace Graphic Explosion to an 11-5 opening-day victory over Carlton Club in Auburn Co-Rec softball action.
Sean Bushway was a perfect 2-for-2 at the dish, while Jaime Ward, Justin Pelletier and Jon Anctil added a pair of hits each. Pelletier earned the win, allowing five runs — three earned — while walking one and striking out one.

NAPA wins men’s opener
AUBURN — The NAPA Auto Parts men’s softball team opened the season with a decisive 9-2 victory over State Farm at a windy Lakeview field.
NAPA opened the game with two runs in the top of the first. State Farm answered with a run of its own in the bottom of the inning, and both teams scored a run in the third frame. NAPA scored two more in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take a 9-2 lead and held on to complete the victory with some stellar defense.
Tom Day, Kevin Pontbriand and Andy Ouellette led the way for NAPA, each going 2-for-3.
Day and Pontbriand each scored twice, with Day adding a triple and an RBI. NAPA received nine RBIs from batters, with Clay Phillips knocking in two.
NAPA will try to continue its winning ways Wednesday, June 1 at 6:15 p.m. at Tribou field against Gnome Landscaping.
