HARTFORD — Duane M. Gordon, 63, of Hartford, died Sunday, May 29, at his home, with his wife holding his hand.
He was born in Norway on June 17, 1947, the son of Merl and Laurette Pratt Gordon. He served his country in the National Guard. He had been employed as a mechanic for SAD No. 17 for many years. Street rodding was his hobby; he loved car shows and spending time with his street-rod friends. He was a member of the Rod and Kustom Kruisers for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Collins Gordon, of Hartford; two sons, Michael and his wife, Tammy, of Casco and Tony of Lewiston; a daughter, Michelle Campbell and her husband, Randy, of Hebron; a stepdaughter, Susan Carro and her significant other, Eric Huntley, of Waterford; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Cathy Rubino and her companion, Phil Randall.
He was predeceased by his parents.
