Library open
SUMNER — The Sumner Historical Library will be open for three months this summer. The hours for June, July and August are from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays.
DUV convention
NORWAY — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19 met on May 25 at the home of Marilyn Jones.
There was a memorial service for the deceased members. As their names were read, a flower was placed on the Bible. The mystery prize was won by Dayle Burnell.
There will be no meeting in June. The convention will be June 25 in Waterville.
Bridge results
OXFORD — Oxford Hill Duplicate Bridge Club met May 20. A six table Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Nancy Farmer (Norway) and Mart Clements (Bryant Pond), second were Paul Kahl (Westbrook) and Dave Kallander (Poland) who also were first in flight B, third in A were Georgette Jewell (Norway) and Pat Quinn (Otisfield). Second in B were Kathleen Burden (Augusta) and Maryann Trafton (Waterville).
Finishing first in flight C were Hank Sakrison (Poland) and Denny Raymond (Waterford), second were Milt McKeen (Bridgton and Jim Krainin (Windham).
