LEWISTON — Leona St-Amand, 72, of Lisbon passed away at Central Maine Medical Center, May 30. She was the wife of the late Fidele St-Amand and was a resident of Van Buren for many years until moving to Lisbon in 2002 after the passing of her husband.
She was born at Saint-Andre, New Brunswick in 1938, the daughter of the late Victorin and Elizabeth (Martin) Dube.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, shopping, traveling, visiting and being with family, and baking cookies.
She will be remembered for her smile, her willingness to always do for others, her kind heart, and her easy fun loving gentle nature.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvie St. Amand of Libson; her son, Michael St. Amand and his wife, Susan, of Strasburg, Va.; her daughter, Marcella Lessard and her husband, Ron W. Lessard, of Lisbon; her daughter, Nancy McDermott and her husband, Gerry, of North Hampton, N.H.; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jason; two sisters, Sylvia St. Amand and Velva Castonguay; and one brother, Gildor Dube.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fidele St. Amand; one sister, Verna Bourgoin; and three brothers, Victorin Dube, Valdor Dube and Ovila Castonguay.
