LEWISTON – Leona St. Amand of Lisbon, passed away May, 30, 2011 at Central Maine Medical Centre, Lewiston, at the age of 72.

She was the wife of the late Fidele St. Amand and was a resident of Van Buren for many years, until moving to Lisbon in 2002 after the passing of her husband. Born at Saint-Andre, New Brunswick in 1938, she was the daughter of the late Victorin and Elizabeth (Martin) Dube.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, shopping, traveling, visiting and being with family and baking cookies. She will be remembered for her smile, her willingness to always do for others, her kind heart and her easy fun loving gentle nature.

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvie St. Amand of Lisbon; her son, Michael St. Amand and his wife, Susan of Strasburg, Va.; her daughter, Marcella Lessard and her husband, Ron W. Lessard of Lisbon; her daughter, Nancy McDermott and her husband, Gerry of North Hampton, N.H.; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jason; two sisters, Sylvia St. Amand and Velva Castonguay; and one brother, Gildor Dube.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fidele St. Amand, one sister, Verna Bourgoin and three brothers, Victorin Dube, Valdor Dube and Ovila Castonguay.

She will be resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, with visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Andre Roman Catholic Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
