Veteran guitarist
Grammy Award-winning guitarist Ed Gerhard, who plays six-string, slide guitar and Hawaiian lap steel, will perform on Friday, June 24, at The Opera House in Boothbay Harbor. Gerhard received a Grammy for his arrangement and performance of “Moon River” for “Henry Mancini:Pink Guitar.” His music is featured in the Ken Burns documentary “Mark Twain” and “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea.” His CD, “Luna,” is featured in Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s 20th Anniversary list of the 240 Essential Albums.
