Make-A-Wish
LEWISTON — A fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at the Eagles Club, Sabattus Street. Barbecue with hot dogs, hamburgers, salad and dessert available for $5. There will be vendors and a buyer of silver and gold jewelry present. FMI: 786-6837.
Anniversary
WINDHAM — GraceChurch will celebrate their 2nd anniversary Sunday, June 5, with special guest Phil Strout, pastor of Pathway Vineyard in Lewiston.
A free continental breakfast will be held at 10 a.m., worship at 10:30 a.m., and a free barbecue immediately following worship.
There will be face painting and games for kids, teens and adults. Outrageous Grace Food & Clothing Ministry will immediately follow worship.
GraceChurch is located at Windham High School.
Bridge results
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met May 27. A 5 & 1/2 table quarterly club championship Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Jim Krainin (Naples) and Milt McKeem (Bridgton) who also were first in flight B and C.
Second in flight A were Lou Theriault (Lewiston) and Mike Quinn (Otisfield), third were Georgette Jewell (Norway) and Pat Quinn (Otisfield). Finishing second in flight B were Priscilla Rooth (Brunswick) and Hazel Glazier (Norway), third were Nick Karamessinis (New Gloucester) and Jim Dickens (Naples). Finishing second in flight C were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris), third were Hank Sakrison (Poland) and Denny Raymond (Waterford).

Dog obedience
LEWISTON — Falls Dog Obedience Club will start another six-week dog obedience class starting Wednesday evening, June 8. Dogs and puppies must be at least 3 1/2 months old and vaccinated. Beginners’ class is at 6:30 and advanced at 7:30. For more information and to register call the club’s trainer, Diane Harrington, at 784-7578.
