PARIS — The Fox School Farmers Market is held each Saturday morning from 9 to 1 at the old Mildred Fox School in South Paris, presently the Oxford Hills Christian Academy. The market is one of only a handful of “growers only” markets in the state, which means that every vendor at the market grows and/or produces everything they offer for sale.

The vendors will be joined by the University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Bryant Pond from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4. The camp will hold its field day on June 4 and will have information available on the events of the day and on 4-H and the camp programs in general.

Lee Dassler of the Western Foothills Land Trust will be at the market, also on June 4, from noon to 1 pm, for a discussion on how land owners and farmers can use conservation easements to keep their farms, working forests and open lands in family hands. The rain date for the Land Trust’s visit is June 18.

For more information on the Fox School Farmers Market or to become a vendor, contact Patricia Verrill, market manager, at 674-5903.
