PARIS — The Bessey Motors Legion baseball team will be holding its first tryout for the 2011 season on Sunday, June 5 at 5 p.m. It will be held at the Gouin Athletic Complex. To be eligible, the player must have been born on or after Jan. 1, 1992 and attended the high schools of Oxford Hills, Fryeburg Academy or Lake Region. Swasey-Torrey Legion

DIXFIELD — Swasey-Torrey Post 100 Legion Baseball will hold tryouts at 1 p.m. June 5 and 12 at Harlow Park. The team now draws from all Mountain Valley and Dirigo towns. State rules require that all players try out. All former players must show up, pay past due fees and return any uniforms in order to play in the 2011 program.
