RUMFORD — Judy Blanchard, 52, died Friday, June 3, surrounded by her family, at the Rumford Hospital, after a 15-year courageous battle with cancer. She was a resident of Kimball Avenue in Mexico.
She was born in Rumford, Jan. 18, 1959, a daughter of William and Hortence “Connie” (Reed) Blanchard. She attended schools in Rumford and Mexico. She worked as a private duty caregiver in the area.
Survivors include a son, Rick Blanchard of Rumford and wife, Aimee; two daughters, Jessica Boyd of Bryant Pond and Angela Blanchard of Rumford; her mother, Connie Blanchard of Mexico; six brothers, Billy Blanchard of Mexico, Jimmy Blanchard of Lewiston, Teddy Blanchard of Mexico, Joseph Blanchard and his wife, Charlotte, of Frye, Timmy Blanchard of Mexico and Kenny Blanchard of Mexico; three sisters, Sandra Blanchard-LaVerdiere and her husband, Brian, of Newry, Kathy Blanchard and her companion, Francis, of Rumford and Della Blanchard-Robichaud and her husband, John, of Rumford; a half brother, Don Brewster and his wife, Bobbie, of Wiscasset; her stepmother, Jeannie Blanchard of Mexico; and five grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father; and a half sister, Amy Parent.
