The Lewiston Area Basketball Club is a nonprofit organization that promotes basketball in Maine by helping players develop their physical and fundamental basketball skills while fostering an environment of sportsmanship among players, coaches, parents and others involved in basketball. The group is currently working hard at practice and fundraising for their trip to Virginia in July to compete in the National AAU Tournament. Many of the athletes are financially challenged; the program relies on fundraisers and donations to operate. Donations can be mailed to Lewiston Area Basketball Club, PO Box 967, Lewiston, ME 04243.
