AUBURN — Angele M. Dionne, 93, formerly of 96 Pond Road, Lewiston, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, at Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility, with her husband, Albert at her side.
She was born in Toulon, France, Sept. 7, 1917, the daughter of Angelo and Marguerite (Ferraro) Briano. She had attended local schools in Toulon.
Angele was a housewife and an at home mother, until her children started high school. She then worked at Auerback Shoe in Brunswick, until their closing.
She was a cut above the best as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved her walk in the woods with the family dogs, a daily ritual twice a day.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert A. Dionne, whom she married in Toulon, France, Sept. 3, 1945 of Auburn; her son, Andre Dionne and his wife, Donna, of Lewiston; her daughter, Colette of Northhampton, Mass.; her grandson, Marc of Lewiston; her great-grandson, Isaac; very dear friends, Gerald and Sandy Tardif; and several nieces and nephews.
