On April 2, the Auburn-Lewiston Kiwanis Club organized a day of work, fun and great deeds. The group painted walls and floors at both The Boys and Girls Club in New Auburn and The Root Cellar in Lewiston. At The Root Cellar, a local private contractor donated his time and expertise with the floors along with materials being donated by Sherwin-Williams for both projects. At the Boys and Girls Club, floors and walls were painted. The Lewiston Key Club participated with extra labor as did individuals from Starbucks in Auburn. All in all, probably more than $15,000 worth of work and materials were given.
