BRUNSWICK — “Weaving Our Stories,” a collaborative production of The Theater Project and Spindleworks, will be presented the weekend of June 17.

In pieces choreographed by Don Weatherbee, the ensemble expresses images of lives of self-expression through observation, art and reflection. The actors create rhythms and images of stages in their lives.

Making up the ensemble are Diane and Earl Black, Kim Christensen, Sam Eberhart, Jim Hall, Al Miller, Nancy Scott, Jean Shaw, Don Weatherbee and Lloyd Whitcomb.

“This show is more abstract than those we’ve done before and is the result of months of experimenting with rhythms, movement and images,” said Miller. “The choreography Don has created is a challenge and a good match for all of us.”

“Jim has been instrumental — pardon the pun — creating rhythms for us to experiment with and our experimentation will continue right up to the production,” Miller said. “And Jean has pushed us to experiment with our voices, both singing and creating sounds.”

Local artist Cathy Worthington is collaborating with Spindleworks artists to create costumes and props for the performance and artist Maureen Block has been working on scenic design with support from Spindleworks artists.

“Weaving Our Stories” will last about an hour. Curtain will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 17-18, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 19. Tickets are pay what you want, with a suggested price of $10. For tickets, call 729-8584 or visit www.theaterproject.com. The theater is at 14 School St.
