MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet for their luncheon at the Covered Wagon on Wednesday, June 15, at 11:30 a.m. Classmates and guests are welcome.

Qigong workshop

LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing and Rumford Hospital have partnered to offer a free Qigong workshop to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. “Qigong for Optimal Health” is scheduled for 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, in Rumford Hospital’s Conference Room C.

Qigong is an ancient gentle and relaxing Asian exercise which helps reduce stress and increase the flow of energy (qi) through the body. Presenter Betsey Foster, MPA, will teach simple Qigong exercises as well as breathing techniques with visualizations.

Public supper

RUMFORD — The Rumford United Methodist Church will serve a public supper on Saturday, June 18, with one serving at 5 p.m. The meal will consist of hot dogs with several kinds of baked beans, casseroles, salads, rolls, beverage and pie. The cost of the meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children.
