DIXFIELD —  The Dixfield Police Department responded to 182 calls for assistance between Friday, May 27, and Wednesday, June 8.

* On Friday, May 27, at 1:20 a.m., patrolman Eric Bernier responded a complaint regarding a disturbance at a  North Street residence. Kimberly Money, 28, of Dixfield was charged with disorderly conduct. She was transported to the Oxford County Jail in South Paris. Money posted bail and awaits an Aug. 9 court date.

* On Friday, May 27, at 7:46 a.m., Chief Richard Pickett responded to an automobile collision with a deer. Matthew Lloyd, 19 of Dixfield was driving his GEO Tracker, on April Hill Road when a young buck jumped in front to his vehicle. There was significant damage done to the front-end of Lloyd’s vehicle, yet a monetary estimate of the damage has yet to be released.

* On Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m., police arrested Ryan Merrill, 22, of Peru, on a violation of bail charge. Merrill was transported and incarcerated at the Oxford County Jail pending a July 5 court date.

* On Tuesday, May 31, at 6:30 p.m. patrolman Eric Bernier responded to a single-car accident on Route 2. William Rixon, 65, of Freeport was driving his 2008 Mazda east on Route 2 at Morrison Hill when he lost control of his vehicle. Rixon’s car veered left, across the westbound lane of Route 2, glanced off a utility pole before hitting a tree and coming to a stop in a ditch. Rixon was unhurt but his Mazda sustained an estimated $6,000 in damages.

* On Tuesday, May 31, at 8:30 p.m., patrolman Eric Bernier noticed a driver operating an ATV at an unsafe speed on Pine Street. Sarah Dakin, 19, of Canton was charged with unsafe speed and imprudent operation of a vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, eluding arrest and for having an outstanding warrant. Dakin was transported and booked at Oxford County Jail in South Paris.
