APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. — May Haley Fairbanks, 91, of Industry passed into the arms of her Lord on June 2, in Arizona.

May was born in Wilton, May 5, 1920, to Wilfred and Lucie Haley. She married Kenneth Fairbanks on May 17, 1942, and they made their home in the town of Industry. During their retirement years, they spent their summers in Allens Mills and their winters in Arizona, with their daughter and family.

May loved children and during her married years she took wonderful care of many children at her home. She worked in several nursing homes and also cared for elderly in her home.

She was an avid reader, loved game shows and completed several Bible studies. She loved to travel and went to Ireland twice, as well as visiting all the U.S. states except Hawaii.

May became a member of Shorey Chapel in the Village of Allens Mills in April 1950. She served faithfully in several official positions in her beloved church and was a member of the Women’s Fellowship.

Surviving are her son, Dale Fairbanks and his wife, Judy; her daughter, Donna Kulwicki and her husband, Michael; five grandchildren, Timothy Millea and his wife, Cindy, Mark Fairbanks and his wife, Christa, Michael Fairbanks and his wife, Kim, Krishna Ryan and her fiance, John Fick and Troy Millea and his wife, Melissa; nine great-grandchildren, Amber Casner, Brett, Branden, Kenny, Christopher and Tiffiny Millea, Devin and Drew Burgess and Justin Fairbanks; one great-great-grandchild, Colton Millea; three sisters, Caroline Roberts, Nora Adams and Lois Henry; one brother, Clayton Haley; special cousin, Julia Small; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years in 1994; and several brothers and sisters.
