BUCKFIELD — Samuel ‘Sam’ H. Cressey, 59, of Buckfield, died at his home on June 8, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. His loving family was by his side.

Sam was born Jan. 1, 1952, in Bath, the son of Thomas and Beluha Cressey.

He married Joan Greenlaw on March 31, 1984, and they are longtime residents of Buckfield.

Sam was a longtime employee of Total Retail and also Clearhartt Construction.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing and golfing, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; sons, Shan Cressey and companion, Teresa and Chad Cressey; daughters, Tina Cressey and Lisa Cressey; grandchildren, Samantha, Leah, Brior, Jordan and Logan; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Beluha.
