AUBURN — Trudy Sjostrom Hamilton, 42, of South Paris passed away Wednesday, June 8, at the Hospice House with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 30, 1968, the daughter of Donald and Ramona Sands Sjostrom. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1986, and the University of Maine at Farmington in 2000 with a B.S. Degree in Social Sciences.

She married Robert Hamilton on Oct. 10, 1987. She owned a bakery on Main Street with her husband Bob for 14 years. She worked for the Kennebec Council Girl Scouts in the Marketing/Membership office. She was an educator at the Maine State Museum and for the last three years was the manager of Volunteer Resources for Seniors Plus. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, needlepoint and cooking. She was a member of the Moxie Gore Paddling Club, AL!VE and loved walking with her dog, Spirit.

She is survived by her husband of South Paris; a daughter, Erin of South Paris; a stepson, David Hamilton of Lewiston; her mother, Ramona LaBay of West Paris; two brothers, George Sjostrom of Mexico and William Sjostrom and his wife, Brenda, of Bryant Pond; a sister, Erica Johnson and her husband, Tim, of West Paris; her step siblings, Pamela Heikkinen, Randy, Robert and David LaBay; her half siblings, Ritchie LaBay, David S. Sjostrom, Donald Joseph Sjostrom and Greta Sjostrom; many cousins, aunts and uncles; and her ex-stepfather, Dick LaBay.

She was predeceased by her father.
