LEWISTON — Tri-County Mental Health Services will present its sixth annual “Inspired Voices” program on Saturday, June 25, at the Franco-American Heritage Center.
The event features music, poetry, dance and art presented by children and adults whose lives have been touched by the agency, as well as the Inspired Ensemble of professional musicians and performers.
Music director Nick Place and director Catherine Ryder will return for the sixth year and Andrew Harris will once again serve as emcee.
Tri-County Mental Health Services Board President Peter Letourneau will share hosting duties and plans to mark the agency’s 60th anniversary with surprises appropriate to each decade.
“Inspired Voices” is featured in filmmaker Craig Saddlemire’s documentary “The Rehearsal,” winner of the Maine Public Broadcasting Network’s director’s award at the L/A Film Festival. The short film follows people who have received mental-health treatment at Tri-County Mental Health Services through rehearsals leading up to the night of the 2010 “Inspired Voices” concert.
A reception and art exhibit will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the featured presentation at 7 o’clock.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door ($15 in advance, $20 at the door for students and seniors), children 5 and younger admitted free. Call 783-4663, ext. 104, or visit www.inspiredvoices.com.
