HUDSON, Fla. — Rose Gonya, 77, of Hudson, Fla., died June 2, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1934, in Jay, the daughter of Vincent and Mary Ventrella Nemi. She graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1952.
She was a very active member of the Aripika Elks Lodge of Hudson, Fla., and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome Gonya; her children, Wendall Roberts and his wife, Micky, Robin Roberts and his fiancee, Deb Holland, Laurie Wright and her husband, Jim, Turdy Roberts, and Chuck Roberts; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Barclay; her nephew, Jim Barclay; and two nieces, Crystal Berry and Debbie Evans.
She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Mary Nemi; a brother, Sonny; a son, Donald; and a granddaughter, Alecia.
