CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. — Benjamin M. Cram, 87, of Crystal River, Fla., formerly of Wilton, died Tuesday, May 10, at Seven Rivers Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Farmington, a son of Elwynn and Addie (Melcher) Cram.
Mr. Cram was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. He and his wife owned and operated Lincoln Hill Manor nursing home in Spencer, Mass., for many years and he retired from American Optical in Southbridge, Mass. He was a member of Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club and he enjoyed hunting in Maine every fall with his son at the family hunting camp and especially enjoyed playing cribbage. Mr. Cram loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Myrtle of Crystal River, Fla., and Farmington; a son, Kenneth and his wife, Claire, of Wilton; daughter, Donna Davis and her husband, Michael, of Scituate, Mass.; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Mark and Karen; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, Samantha, Jesse and Wyatt.
