MEXICO — George Byam and Peter Merrill were elected to the Board of Selectmen during annual elections Tuesday.

Byam had 142 votes; Merrill, 114. Their terms are for three years.

Results for the other candidates were: James McDonald,  104 votes; Arthur Bordeau, 80; and Randal Canwell, 42.  

Penny Duguay was re-elected town clerk and treasurer. She had no challenger.

The RSU 10 budget passed by a vote of 167-77.

All the town’s budget articles were approved.

Of the 1,700 voters, 254 cast ballots Tuesday in the town office building’s Calvin P. Lyons Hall.
