SABATTUS — Denis J. Fournier, 43, a resident of Sabattus, died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, June 10.
He was born in Hartford, Conn., July 14, 1967, the son of Rosaire and Therese (Rancourt) Fournier. He attended schools in Sherbrooke, P.Q., and it was there he graduated from Alexandria Gault High School. He then moved to Connecticut and in 1992 moved to Maine.
While in Maine, he became self-employed with Fournier and Sons Drywall for 15 years. He more recently had been employed for Roland’s Drywall in Sabattus.
Survivors include his mother, Therese Fournier of Sherbrooke, P.Q.; his wife, the former Judy St. Pierre of Sabattus; two sons, Anthony and Austin Fournier of Sabattus; one brother, Claude Fournier of Connecticut; five sisters, Diane Dolbec, Michelle, Linda, Nicole and Ginette Fournier, all of Canada; several nieces and nephews; Denis’ in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Lucien St. Pierre of Lewiston; as well as Denis’ two faithful and loving companions, Ruffy and Chika.
