LEWISTON — Glennys A. Miller, 88, a resident of Auburn, formerly of Livermore Falls and Bear Pond, died very suddenly Sunday, June 12, at Central Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Tracy) Miller. Glennys was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. She relocated to Providence, R.I., where she lived for 43 years before returning to Maine after her retirement in 1985 from Coro Inc., the largest Costume Jewelry manufacturer in the area.
She made her home on Bear Pond in North Turner for several years before moving to Auburn in 2006. She was a longtime member the Nazarene Church of Livermore Falls and more recently the Nazarene Church in Auburn.
Glennys was a member and volunteer of the Turner Senior Citizens. She was very outgoing and enjoyed her host of friends she had gathered through the years.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Huntley of Zephyrhills, Fla.; her nieces and nephews, Beverly Chappell of North Turner, Nancy Cyr-Larson of Wakefield, R.I., Robert Miller of Livermore Falls, Virginia Williams of Cranston, R.I., Richard Miller and Janice Murch, both of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Glenn Huntley of Hebron; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her good friend and longtime companion, Arthur Wilcox.
