AUBURN — Lucille “Lou” Jordan, 62, of Auburn, passed with dignity and grace at Hospice House on Tuesday, June 14, after struggling several months with cancer.

Lucille was born Jan. 21, 1949, a daughter of the late William Gagne Jr. and Therese Fournier Gagne. Lucille worked for years in the banking field and for the past seven years was a valued volunteer at the Franco-American Heritage Center.

Lucille’s faith, friends and family kept her strong over the past months. Lucille was very active in her community and was recognized as such by receiving the Mayoral VIBE Award (Volunteers Inspire by Example” last year.

She is survived by her three sons, Scott Jordan and his wife, Carrie, of Portland and Scott’s son, Devon, of Hawaii, Bruce Jordan of Afghanistan, and his daughter, Tiffany, of Livermore Falls and Shawn Jordan and his wife, Jamie and their children, Christian and Danika Jordan, of Auburn; her sister, Jackie Heiniv and husband, David, of New York; her three brothers, Robert and his wife, Carrie, of Linwood, Wash., Ronald Gagne and his companion, Anne, of Auburn, Wash., and Michel Gagne of Lewiston; three special friends, she considered sisters, Rita Dube of Lewiston, Jeanne Begin of Lisbon and Kathy Perkins of Livermore.

Lucille will be remembered as a strong, loving and vibrant lady who brought smiles and caring to those who knew and loved her. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. Heaven is being blessed with someone very special.
