Annie Aquin, an Indian woman who lives with her husband in a camp off Park Avenue, Auburn, was run over yesterday afternoon at about 2:30 while endeavoring to board an Auburn Heights car. Mrs. Aquin often accompanies her husband to the city, where he disposes of snow shoes which he manufactures. The accident took place on Court Street, just above Main.

The program for the third band concert of the Lewiston City Park summer season was announced Thursday by Director Roland A. Gagnon of the Lamontagne Brass Band.
Concerts are held each Sunday night, starting at 7:30 p.m. and lasting for 1½ hours.
The concert this Sunday will open with “Anchors Aweigh,” followed by another stirring march, “Battle of the Winds.” The other numbers will include every type from “Donkey Serenade to “In the Mood.”

The Auburn City Council on Monday ended nearly a year of haggling when it reluctantly decided to pay for closing part of the Gracelawn Road landfill.
Following the recommendation City Manager Charles A. Morrison, councilors voted 4-0 to follow a Department of Environmental Protection plan calling for the city to fill in the landfill’s eastern portions.
