NORWAY — On Saturday, July 9, in conjunction with the Norway Sidewalk Art Festival, the Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main St., will hold its annual quilt show. New this year there will be displays and sales of fiber art.

Those interested in displaying a quilt in the sanctuary, or fiber art such as knitting, crocheting, weaving or felting in the rooms adjacent to the sanctuary, should contact the church office at 743-2290. Registration forms are available in the church office.

Coordinated by Joanna Allen-Timberlake, the quilts are displayed on the pews in the church’s 100-year-old sanctuary. The indirect lighting and the sunlight, which filters through stained glass windows, enhance the colors of both new and antique quilts.

Come and welcome newly opened Babbling Brook Quilt Shop from Market Square in South Paris. They will have available to purchase all of your quilting needs including fabric, rules and kits.

The quilt show will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The fiber art show is a new enterprise for the Second Congregational Church. Also coordinated by Joanna Allen-Timberlake, it compliments the quilts. Space will be limited and reservations need to be made as soon as possible. For more information, contact Joanna at 743-6016 or 515-4311.

Other events at the Second Congregational Church on Saturday, July 9, will include a lobster roll lunch.

The Second Congregational Church, U.C.C., welcomes all to join in worship, study and fellowship. For more information, contact the church office at 743-2290.
