AUBURN — American Concrete and Hudson Bus played a hard fought game in Auburn Suburban Little League minor division baseball, with American Concrete coming out on top, 15-6.
Nick Martinez led Concrete with three hits. Jacob Hodgman, Nick Hartley and A.J. Tirrell each with 2. Austin Fournier, Kameron Coolong and Josh White each had three hits for Hudson, followed by Jacob Jackson and Liam Flynn with two hits apiece. Pitching for American Concrete was stellar, with the hurlers combining for seven strikeouts.
Hudson Bus recently posted its first two wins of the season.
Bus rolled to an 11-1 win over ENEFCO. Chase Martin, Jacob Willette, Matt Scholer and Simon Haye paced ENEFCO. Jack Hart, Dan Milks and White banged out three hits each for Hudson, followed by Jacob Jackson, Ryan Arp and Coolong, all with a pair.
In a hard-fought battle, Hudson edged M & P Auto, 6-4. The game produced some excellent defensive plays by both teams. Spencer Morrill and Cameron Sturgis led M&P with three hits each. Drew Bennett, Tiger Hopkins and Shane Arthur added two hits apiece.
Josh White made stellar plays in the field for Hudson. Offensively, Fournier, Hart and Milks each had three hits, while Kayden Butler, White and Coolong each banged out two.
ENEFCO used a late-inning rally to overcome Dillingham & Son’s in a well-played game that featured great pitching, fielding and timely hitting from both teams.
Dillingham was led by solid hitting from Gunner Winslow and Brandon Demers and the pitching from a trio of strike-throwers.
For ENEFCO, Simon Hayes (double) and Matthew Scholer had big hits. Scholer also turned in several stellar defense plays in the field. Chase Martin, Michael Potvin and R.J. Nichols each threw a solid inning on the mound.

LEWISTON — Battling to improve its playoff seed in Elliot Ave. Little League, United Ambulance fought its way back from early fielding mistakes for a 3-1 victory over Skelton, Taintor, & Abbott.
Skelton starter Jeremy Rancourt did a great job keeping United bats silent for the first four innings, allowing only two base runners, both on walks. United hurler Jean-Luc Dostie was equally sharp, pitching a complete game two-hitter, striking out 13.
Skelton opened the scoring in the second, taking advantage of two fielding errors to plate its only run. But United rallied back off Rancourt in the top of the fifth on a walk and an RBI single by Grant Hartley. Hartley later scored on an overthrow to third base, making the score 2-1.
United padded the lead to 3-1 when Shawn-Michael Chabot singled off reliever Nick Poland with two outs. Two bases on balls later, Isaac Escobar was plunked to drive in Chabot.
Sean O’Donnell and Ben Chasse had the hits for Skelton. Rancourt took the loss despite striking out eight.
AK Softball
LEEDS — The Leeds Lightning 12-year-old softball team moved to 3-0 on the season with a 13-7 win over the Turner Blue Jays. Winning pitcher Abby Robertson had 13 strikeouts. Tessa Benson, Lillie Black and Alana Hartford all had triples at the plate for Leeds. For the Jays, Amanda Poulin had three hits and scored two runs.
