DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am writing in response to the letters regarding ice cream flavors (May 23, June 9). I wanted to be sure to clear up any confusion.

Gifford’s, unfortunately, does not have any final decisions as to which stores carry which flavors. However, you can request flavors with the store manager and, hopefully, they will be able to get that particular flavor in the store for you.

We carry all of our retail flavors throughout the year; we do not cut flavors after the summer months are over. Also, you can contact us directly at info@giffordsicecream.com and let us know what the particular flavor you would like to see in which store, and we can also forward this information along to help out.

We appreciate our loyal fans and we want to be sure that your favorite flavor is offered at the store where you shop. — Lindsay Gifford-Skilling, VP of Sales, Gifford’s Ice Cream
