LISBON FALLS — A 50th wedding anniversary celebration was held recently to honor Bud and Nancy (Bowie) Samson of Lisbon Falls. A surprise reception was held at the Muddy Rudder, with all of the couple’s children and siblings in attendance. In addition, the couple was showered with a gift of cards from friends and family from all over the world, sharing their good wishes.

The couple was married on April 29, 1961. They are the proud parents of three children, Scott and Barbie Samson of Lisbon Falls, Steve and Kris Samson of Auburn and Cindy (Samson) and Rick Roberts of Lisbon Falls. They also have six grandchildren, Geoff, Josh, Derek, Megan, Molly and Emma.

Mr. Samson is a retired school teacher from Lisbon High School and also retired from the United States Navy. Mrs. Samson is a retired school nurse for the Lisbon School Department.
