What do we continue to learn about Paul LePage since he has been in office? We learn that he has adopted a positive attitude in changing various members of his Cabinet.
What he has learned in the wake of several key members resigning is that his selections were not the best choices. In fact, he has learned to act more like a governor and less like a bully. Which means he was never as much of a tea party candidate as he seemed to be.
He has learned the same lesson that former presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush learned in their higher office — respect.
I commend him for making changes and taking a vacation to learn what was needed. With fresh faces and no more poor personal or friendship selections, he has turned a corner. He might rebound even more favorably with continued growth in moderate selections.
If he had continued to curse President Barack Obama or run his smear campaign after the continuous foot-in-mouth disasters, this letter may have been written differently. As it stands LePage is slowly getting more and more support from moderates such as myself in his selection of former labor leaders.
