RUMFORD — Professional skateboarder Toebee Parkhurst and crew members Nate Jones, Nolan Brann and Josh Gallant will put on a show this week at Hosmer Field.

The National Skate Day Competition will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the Rumford Skate Park.

Those interested are asked to bring their skateboards and join in by learning new tricks and/or competing in the Eleven Circles event.

There will be live music, prizes, food and drinks, with profits and donations going toward additions and improvements to the existing skate park.

“Wouldn’t you all love a concrete skate park like Bethel has or even better?” co-organizer Erin Cox asked.

For current information, Cox and co-organizers Cindrie Cormier and Becky Skibitsky of the newly-formed nonprofit Eleven Circles Teen Center in Mexico have created a page on Facebook at http://tinyurl.com/6ytk8o6.
