LEWISTON — Robert E. Begin Sr., 55, a resident of Weld Road, Wilton, died early Sunday, June 19, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Livermore Falls, the son of Victor and Rose (Begin) Begin. He attended Jay High School. He had worked as a truck driver for Archie’s Trash Removal in Mexico, DeCoster Egg Farm, Darrel Tibbetts and worked as a mechanic for Lakeside Auto in Wilton.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was very good with horses and collecting eagle figurines, but he especially loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his companion, Anastasia Henderson of Wilton; his sons, John McDonald of Rumford and Robert Begin Jr. and his fiancee, Susan Cote, all of Jay; daughters, Alisha Begin and her companion, Robert Burnell, of Jay and Destiny and Desarae Begin, of Wilton; stepdaughter, Dianna Henderson and companion, Chris Tracy, of Wilton; grandchildren, Damien, Charlotte and Chloe; brothers, Wilfred M. Begin and wife, Nancy, of Auburn and Wilfred A. Begin of Skowhegan; half brother, George Begin and partner, Peter Lamache, of Saco; half sister, Virginia Rackcliffe and husband, Michael, of Poland; stepsister, Ruth Cote of Arundel; stepbrother, Kevin Jones of Saco; stepmother, Betty M. Begin of Saco; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased his biological father, Wilfred A. Begin in 1998.
