FREEPORT — Aline Gagnon Eldridge, 71, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, June 21, at Hawthorne House.

She was born in Auburn, Jan. 28, 1940, a daughter of Wilfred and Yvonne (DesJardins) Gagnon. Aline graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn. She worked for Maine Medical Center, Portland in billing and record keeping.

Aline is survived by her former husband, Frank Dixon of Falmouth; their three children, Kim Pruitt of Potomac, Md., Jane Bopp of Falmouth and Denise Melcher of Westerville, Ohio; four siblings, Lucille Pelletier of Indiana, Jerry Gagnon and Lorraine Van Compernolle of Nevada, and Claude Gagnon of Lewiston; and seven grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Eldridge.

Aline loved history, traveling, flowers, bird watching and the beauty in nature. She will be cherished and missed by her family.
