RUMFORD — Funeral services with military honors for Howard Elliot Donahue, of Peru, were conducted Saturday at the Meader and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Shepard Swain officiating. Special music “How Great Thou Art” was sung by guitarist Elaine Michaud. Music also included “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Committal services were conducted by Pastor Swain. Military honors were conducted by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta. Interment was at the Greenwood Cemetery, Dixfield. Bearers were Joe Roach, Ralph Horne, Zachary Donahue, Edgar Brown, Howard Donahue and David Brown. A reception followed the services at the Peru United Baptist Church in Peru.
