Arrests/Summonses

June 18 at 12:30 a.m.: Jacob Ortiz, 31, of Rumford was arrested by Ptl. Michael Belanger on Hancock Street on a charge of violation of bail. Ortiz, who was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 19 at 8:30 p.m.: Dustin McLain, 25, of Mexico was arrested by Ptl. Michael Belanger on Waldo Street on a charge of displaying a mutilated license. McLain, who was issued additional charges of possession of marijuana, littering and possession of drug paraphernalia, posted $600 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 20 at 4:44 a.m.: Jacob Daigneault, 21, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Michael Belanger on Waldo Street on a charge of violation of bail. Daigneault is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 2.

June 20 at 9:13 a.m.: Dale Pellerin, 46, of Rumford was arrested by Ptl. Dave Hodgson on Hall Hill Road on a warrant charging failure to appear for violation of bail. Pellerin, who was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

June 20 at 9:10 a.m.: Bruce Dunn, 55, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Waldo Street on a charge of operating after suspension. Dunn is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 20 at 1:45 p.m.: Kandice Child, 37, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Oxford Avenue on charges of violation of bail. Child is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 2.

June 20 at 2:10 p.m.: Nathan Arsenault, 28, of Rumford was arrested by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Oxford Avenue on charges of violation of bail. Arsenault, who was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 2.

June 21 at 12:25 p.m.: William Temple, 49, of Rumford was arrested by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Falmouth Street on charges of a warrant for failure to pay fines for theft. Temple was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

June 21 at 4:48 p.m.: Meghann Donahue, 22, of Mexico was arrested by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Route 17 on a charge of operating after suspension. Donahue posted $300 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 22 at 8:40 p.m.: Jack Scott, 22, of Hawley, Mass., was arrested by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Route 2 on a charge of operating after revocation. Scott posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 22 at 10:08 p.m.: Nathan Arsenault, 28, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Falmouth Street on a charge of violation of bail. Arsenault, who was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 2.

June 22 at 10:10 p.m.: Kandice Child, 37, of Rumford was arrested by Ptl. Michael Belanger on Falmouth Street on a charge of violation of bail. Child, who was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 23 at 4:31 p.m.: 12-year-old Rumford female juvenile was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Cumberland Street on a charge of assault and criminal mischief. Juvenile is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court.

June 23 at 6:10 a.m.: Amanda Spitzer, 30, of Dixfield was arrested by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on a warrant charging failure to appear for operating without a license. Spitzer posted $500 cash bail and was released.

June 24 at 2:58 a.m.: Troy Bryant, 24, of Mexico was charged by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Route 17 on a charge of possession of marijuana. Bryant is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 24 at 10:25 a.m.: Jewels Varnum, 47, of Mexico was arrested by Sgt. James Bernard on Falmouth Street on a charge of operating under the influence second offense. Varnum posted $1,500 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 25 at 12:18 a.m.: Jocelyn Fletcher, 28, of Dixfield was arrested by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Veterans Street on a charge of operating under the influence. Fletcher posted $800 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

June 25 at 2:45 a.m.: Christopher Upton, 35, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Joseph Sage on Cumberland Street on a charge of violation of bail. Upton is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 2.

June 25 at 6:55 p.m.: 14 year old Rumford female juvenile was charged by Act. Cpl. Donald Miller on Spruce Street on a charge of theft and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. Juvenile is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 2.

June 25 at 11:35 p.m.: Joshua Brann, 24, of Phillips was arrested by Ptl. Joseph Sage on Oxford Avenue on a charge of violation of bail. Brann, who was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 2.

June 25 at 11:50 p.m.: Jacquelyn Wilson, 36, of Wyman Hill Road on a charge of domestic violence assault. Wilson posted $800 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 6.

Assault

June 18 at 9:30 p.m.: Cpl. Lawrence Winson investigated an assault at a Hancock Street apartment. The victim declined to press charges.

June 19 at 11:52 a.m.: Sgt. Tracey Higley investigated an assault on Rumford Avenue. Pending statements, charges will follow.

June 20 at 10:03 a.m.: Ptl. Brad Gallant investigated an assault on Cumberland Street. Suspect has not been located.

June 23 at 2:03 a.m.: Cpl. Lawrence Winson investigated an assault on Falmouth Street. Paperwork being reviewed by district attorney for charges.

June 25 at 11:23 p.m.: Ptl. Dave Hodgson investigated an assault on JFK Lane. No charges filed.

Burglary

June 11 at 8:37 a.m.: Sgt. Maifeld investigated two burglaries at a Cumberland Street apartment. The case is under investigation.

June 11 at 11:29 a.m.: Sgt. Maifeld investigated a burglary of a Falmouth Street apartment. Estimated loss $185. Items taken are cash, DVDs, medication and cigarettes.

Criminal Mischief

June 23 at 1:38 p.m.: Sgt. Tracey Higley investigated damage done to fencing on York Street. Estimated damage of $150.

Theft

June 15 at 11:20 a.m.: Sgt. Douglas Maifeld investigated an attempted theft of furniture from behind a business on River Street. Suspects fled when witnessed by a passing motorist.

June 16 at 2:45 p.m.: Ptl. Dave Hodgson investigated a gas drive off on Route 2. Loss estimated at $44.

June 19 at 1:57 p.m.: Ptl. Brad Gallant investigated a theft of a bicycle on the South Rumford Road. Loss estimated at $75.

June 26 at 12:12 p.m.: Ptl. Dave Hodgson investigated a theft of alcohol from a Route 2 residence. Loss estimated at $25. Property located and returned. No charges
