POLAND — Bridging the generation gap and improving communities was the focus of Join Hands Day, a national day of service sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America and other fraternal benefit societies on May 7.

Join Hands Day brought youths and adults together to plan and complete volunteer service projects in their communities. As the generations work side by side, they learn more about each other, sparking new levels of understanding and respect.

Modern Woodmen’s local Youth Service Group partnered with Poland Community Church to rake leaves and clean the grounds of the Poland Food Bank.
