RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Viola Pelletier was celebrated Tuesday. Fr. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Offertory gifts were presented by her daughter, Theresa Richard and her son, Joseph Gary Pelletier. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Hosea,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “Ave Maria” and “J’irai la voir un jour.” Readings were proclaimed by her nephew, Roger Pelletier, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Pelletier. Personal reflections were shared by her son, Roland Pelletier, and a poem was read by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Pelletier. Pallbearers were Norman Pelletier, Ed Pelletier, Eric Richard, Stephen Richard, Rodman Pelletier and Gregory Barker. Honorary pallbearers were Kathy Arnth, Michelle Barker and Marsha Pelletier. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
