RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of James Richard Perry was celebrated at Monday. The Rev. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. The reading was presented by Barbara Doherty. The organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Because the Lord Is My Shepherd,” “The Lord is My Light” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic. Personal reflections were shared by his grandchildren, Erin Perry, Avery Perry, Julianne Petrie and Amanda Jo Petrie. Bearers were Avery Perry, Joe Sirois, Mike Gallant, Steve DeFilipp, Peter Dumoulin and Paul Dumoulin. Military honors were rendered by the Maine Funeral Honor Guard. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
