LEWISTON — Jacqueline F. (Drouin) Provencher, 82 of Lewiston died Friday, July 1, at Marshwood Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 22, 1929, the daughter of Zepherin and Rose (Dufour) Drouin.

Jackie graduated from St. Dominic’s Regional High School in 1947. She married Roger P. Provencher Sr. in Lewiston on June 18, 1949. She worked in the kitchen at Lewiston High School on Central Avenue for several years before retiring in 1984.

Survivors include her sisters, Theresa Ouellette of Lewiston and Claire Cote of Cumberland, R.I.; a son, Roger Provencher Jr. (Carol) of Lewiston; two daughters, Lyn Audibert (Gerry) of Lewiston and Rose Provencher (Edwin Wiesner) of Sandwich, Mass.; six grandchildren, Jason Provencher (Tina), Kevin Audibert (Cara), Renee (Provencher) Courtemanche (Michael), Christine (Audibert) Gould (Michael), Stephen McGrail III (Jennifer) and Matthew McGrail (Deb); nine fun loving great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband in May 2009.

Jackie was a lovely, happy person and others around her enjoyed her company. She loved being around family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as they brought her so much joy.
