FARMINGTON — Jeannine B. Croft, 76, of Lewiston, died Thursday, June 30, at Franklin Memorial Hospital of complications due to a lengthy illness.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1935, the daughter of Alphonse and Anna Bolduc Bernier. She graduated from Lewiston High in 1953, and attended nursing school, where she met Rodney Croft, whom she married on Jan. 18, 1955.

She was a loving mother, homemaker and caregiver for her husband, Rodney, who passed away Sept. 3, 1999.

Her greatest pleasures were playing cards, knitting, and spending time with her family and their dog Bailey. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love of others and her wonderful smile.

She is survived by her son, William and Sandra Croft of Minot; daughter, Diane Clas and her husband, Orlando and daughter, Doreen Smiley, all of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; five grandchildren, Stacey and Jason Croft of Lewiston, Kyle Darling of Kentucky, and Jenn Sowards and Brian Smiley, both of Kansas; two great-grandchildren, Carson Darling and Jayde Sowards; and sisters, Carmen Dam and Lucille Thibodeau, both of Auburn.

Jeannine was predeceased by her brothers, Rene Bernier and Walter Bernier; sisters, Annette Veilleux and Connie Levesque; and special aunt, Mary Bolduc Beaulieu.

She will be sadly missed by her companion, Arthur Landry of Jay.
