NEW VINEYARD — Pat Scucci, 64, of New Vineyard died Friday, July 1, at her home.

She was born March 15, 1947, in Newark, N.J., the daughter of John and Margaret (McGlone) Schroth. She had resided in New Vineyard since 1974. She worked for early childhood education programs in the Farmington and Augusta areas for many years. In 1982 Patty established the local Fresh Air fund program, a New York City-based organization that matches inner-city children with rural host families for summer vacations.Throughout her life she was an avid gardener.

She was a loving mother and grandmother to daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Leo and grandchildren, Maya and Ben. She is also survived by her brother, John Schroth, and his children, Laura and Christopher.

She was predeceased by her sister, Cindy.
