WASILLA, Alaska — Vito Papasadora of Wasilla, Alaska, passed away on June 6.

He was formerly of Rumford and a member of the Stephens High School, Class of 1946. He left in his senior year and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, finishing his education there.

Vito retired after 20 years of service with the rank of staff sergeant and moved to Anchorage, Alaska, raising his family there.

He leaves his wife, Joyce; four sons; three daughters and their families; a grandson who lived with him; a sister, Jennie Virgin of Dixfield; and two brothers, Ralph Papasadora of Rumford and O. Paul Papasadora of East Falmouth, Mass.

Vito would have celebrated his 84th birthday on June 14.
