LEWISTON — Linda A. Bard, 66, of Lisbon, passed away July 5, at Marshwood Nursing Home after an extended illness.
She was born in Lisbon, Nov. 30, 1944, to Frank and Mabel (White) Kramarz. Linda lived her entire life in Lisbon. A 1963 graduate of Lisbon High School, she spent the vast majority of her life as a mother, homemaker and childcare provider.
Over the years, Linda opened her home to more than a dozen friends and extended family, both old and young, who found themselves in difficult times and provided sustenance, emotional support and shelter from life’s many unexpected storms. Her kind warmth and generous heart will be missed by all.
Quick to laugh, humble by nature, she perpetually epitomized the essences of both sympathy and empathy every day she spent on this earth.
Linda was an avid player of card games, Scrabble and enjoyed solving puzzles. She was a lover of the ocean and of course, our Maine lobster.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Bard, whom she married on June 2, 1972; her loving sons, Frank Dingley and Timothy Bard; her sister, Judy Bard; her adoring grandchildren, Kait and Nick Dingley, Ricci Bard and Liam Moore; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as her many friends.
