LEWISTON — Central Maine Christian Academy recently held a graduation ceremony at the South Lewiston Baptist Church. Commencement exercises were held for the school’s two seniors, Rebecca Chabot, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Chabot, and Ashley Fenderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Fenderson.
Pastor and school Bible teacher Daniel Corff led the invocation, and Pastor Jon Vermillion, of the Waldoboro Baptist Church, and former pastor of the United Baptist Church in Lewiston, presented the commencement address. Students then honored their senior classmates through songs and tributes that had been written to the seniors. These were followed by a slide show of each of the graduates’ lives, prepared by computer teacher Mrs. Tina Bryant.
The diplomas were awarded by administrator Patricia St. Hilaire, board member David St. Hilaire, and members of the high school staff, Megan Corff, Denva Corff, Michele Hall and Mike Nyberg. Following the ceremony, relatives and friends joined the graduates in the receiving line and reception held in their honor.
